Sportsi media exposure technology provides substantially more precise television brand exposure measurement and monitoring.
- The introduction of the Sportsi software, capable of measuring to 1/30 of a second, significantly improves the data 's accuracy and generates new measures including the size and quality of brand exposure. This groundbreaking technology produces analysis not previously possible.
- Developed by Lucent Technologies' Bell Labs, Sportsi measures the brand exposure duration from various sources including perimeter boards, on-screen graphics and on-field graphics. Previously, this data was captured manually, allowing for inaccuracies, using stopwatches or via a VCR linked to a PC and keyboard.
- Sportsi tracks the quantity of exposure a brand received (frequency and duration) as well as the points in the broadcast when the exposure occurred, allowing advertisers and sponsors to value their exposure based on the natural fluctuations of audience size and composition during a sports broadcast.
- The quality and quantity of brand exposure can impact viewer recall. Until now, the quality factor has been poorly understood simply because it was almost impossible to capture using traditional methods.
